Edeka Steglitz Berlin – Dynamic Food Court in a Historically Significant Location

Steglitz Market, Berlin – Dynamic Food Court Design with Expressive Counters and Modular Pop-Up Zones

Located in the historic Steglitz Quarter, Berlin, this project reimagines the Steglitz Market food hall with a standalone, expressive counter strategy, giving each vendor its own distinctive tone, look, and feel within a simple, dynamic envelope. The design celebrates individuality while maintaining cohesion with the historic market character.

Clear signage and dynamic counters create a theatre of food, guiding visitors through the space and encouraging interaction. Breakout seating zones offer areas for eating, socializing, and enjoying the vibrant environment. Modular pop-up zones allow visiting chefs and brands to activate the space, bringing energy and engagement to the food court.

The concept extends to gondola food displays and differentiated food categories, ensuring a flexible, visually engaging, and memorable shopping and dining experience that honours Steglitz Market’s heritage while embracing contemporary food retail trends.
